What Is It Like to Work with a Homeopath?

Working with a homeopath is a gentle yet powerful journey that looks at your whole story — not just symptoms. But it’s not always what people expect, and sometimes that leads to frustration.
I want to walk you through what working with me is actually like — so you feel informed, supported, and prepared.

Your First Consultation: It’s Quite Long for a Reason
This is not a quick chat. It’s a deep-dive.
Expect 60–75 minutes (sometimes longer).
I ask for as much detail as possible — physical, emotional, mental.
We explore:
Your medical history
Emotional stressors and big life events
Food, sleep, fears, dreams, family dynamics
And especially when things started (those “never been well since…” moments)
This helps me find a good opening remedy — not a cure-all, but a remedy that opens your case gently so we can see what shifts and what stays.

What Happens After the Consult
Once we finish talking, I step away to review everything.
Within a few days, I’ll send you:
Your homeopathic prescription email
Clear instructions on how to take the remedy
Where to buy it
Explanations, and why that remedy suits you
I don’t just say “take this.” I explain why. You’re not only getting better — you’re learning how to understand your health differently.

Follow - Up: The Body Will Show Us What’s Next
At your first follow-up, we’ll see what changed.
The remedy may open the case beautifully — and your body will guide us to the next layer.
We adjust the plan based on your feedback.
Healing is a process. For chronic conditions (like chronic fatigue, ADHD), I usually expect at least 8 months to a year of work. Sometimes longer. For teens, I ask to work with a parent as well.
Ongoing Care & Coaching
Every few months, I’ll ask you to photograph any remedies you’re unsure about.
I’ll send you a printout of why each was chosen, so you can build confidence and understanding.
We focus not just on short-term change — but how to maintain your health long-term.
You’re not only receiving remedies — you’re learning the why behind each one.

How Long Will We Work Together?
That depends on how deep you want to go.
Short-term support is possible, but meaningful, lasting change usually takes time. (What is the difference between acute and chronic prescribing? Click here for more)
If you’re committed to understanding your health at its roots, we’ll likely work together over several months — sometimes longer.
We’ll talk about your priorities and what you’d love to shift — and revisit them regularly to track real progress.
Let’s Make It Work
Honestly? The hardest part is often booking that first session, because it's long and space is limited.
If you’re ready, let me know and I’ll do my best to find a spot for you.
