For me, homeopathy is not just a complementary medicine but a reflection of the harmony of the universe, revealing the fundamental laws that govern our lives. By understanding homeopathy, unveiling the fundamental principles that shape our lives
What principle is homeopathy based on?
The most important principle is the law of similars: a substance that produces a certain condition in healthy individuals can, in homeopathic potency, help a similar condition caused by an illness. In the healing process, we focus on the imbalance, and once balance is restored, the body will heal itself.

What do homeopathic remedies contain?
Homeopathic remedies are made from plants, minerals, compounds, and animal-derived substances. These substances undergo multiple stages of dilution and vigorous shaking, known as succussion. This process of repeated dilution and shaking is called potentization. Homeopathic potencies are labeled with a number and a letter, such as C9, 30X, D12, or C200. Generally, a higher number indicates a higher potency, meaning a more strongly dynamized remedy in which the original starting substance is typically no longer detectable.
Can you overdose on homeopathic remedies?
Taking homeopathic remedies repeatedly without the correct match to your imbalance can lead to proving symptoms, meaning the remedy may cause temporary symptoms similar to those it is intended to treat. The general rule in homeopathy is that the number of repetitions matters more than the quantity taken.
Can pregnant or breastfeeding women use homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a holistic approach that considers both the mother and the baby as a unit, not just during pregnancy but also in the so-called fourth trimester. The prescribed homeopathic remedy influences this symbiosis, helping both regain balance. Later, in families with older children, we often observe that the most sensitive child may exhibit symptoms of the family's disrupted energy harmony. In such cases, treating the child helps restore balance, but it is often beneficial to treat other family members as well.

What does "personalized treatment" mean?
Let’s say we both have herpes caused by the herpes simplex virus. Suppose it appears in the same spot—on the left side of our upper lip—and is very uncomfortable. However, you might receive Zincum, while I might receive Natrum muriaticum. A homeopath does not only look at the symptoms but also considers how we individually experience the imbalance.
For example, herpes often flares up during stressful periods, but the circumstances matter. Zincum is given to someone who is naturally restless, overworks themselves, and suffers from chronically recurring herpes due to exhaustion. Natrum muriaticum, on the other hand, is for someone whose herpes appeared after a deep emotional sorrow or grief. It is also possible that the same person may need a different remedy for the next herpes outbreak, as homeopathic treatment focuses on restoring balance, after which the body’s self-healing mechanism takes over.
Can I choose a homeopathic remedy for myself?
Yes! If you understand the basic principles of homeopathy, you can select remedies for simple, acute issues (lasting less than two weeks). The more you practice, the more experience you gain, starting you on a wonderful journey of discovering homeopathy.
